ABSTRACT

“Maxwell Made Simple”

The most exciting class taken as an undergraduate student was electromagnetic theory, right?  Solving Maxwell’s Equations are easy, usually for someone else.  The phrase “Maxwell Made Simple” is an oxymoron.  Maxwell Equations however can be simplified using a non-conventional teaching approach.  What Maxwell tells us is critical to understanding electromagetic and transmission line theory, and not by solving the equations.  If we understand what Maxwell tells us, our job of working on applied EMC problems becomes easier.
